-----> 196 Registered Participants from 28 Countries Click here for the Symposium PROGRAM Click to see SPONSORS First International Symposium on Tomato Diseases (1st ISTD) and 19th Annual Tomato Disease Workshop (19th ATDW) will take place in Orlando, Florida, from June 20 to June 24, 2004 under the auspices of The International Society for Horticultural Sciences (ISHS). University of Florida/IFAS and Ege University Faculty of Agriculture are collaborating to organize this meeting. The official language of the Symposium will be English. All papers, whether presented at oral or poster sessions, will be considered for publication in Acta Horticulturae (Editors: M. T. Momol and J. B. Jones). Please submit your manuscripts to Tim Momol by September 1st, 2004. Papers will be published based on ISHS policy and the Acta Horticulturae Authors Instructions. CLICK HERE for Oral and Poster Presentation Guidelines Registration Fee This fee will cover the cost of publication of the proceedings in Acta Horticulturae, the program and abstract book, meeting facilities and expenses, coffee breaks, and a symposium dinner. Refunds: Requests for registration refunds will be honored if the Office of Conferences & Institutes receives a written notification of cancellation on or before May 17, 2004. A $50.00 processing fee will be deducted from all registration refunds. Sorry, no refunds will be honored for cancellations after May 17, 2004. Special Needs: Participants with special needs can be reasonably accommodated by contacting the North Florida REC at least 10 working days prior to the conference. Location and Venue The symposia will be held at Grosvenor Resort in the Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida . Downtown Disney ("the metropolis of fun") is located 5 minutes walking distance from hotel (Grosvenor Resort). There are plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment options. The 1st International Symposium on Tomato Diseases will be held at the Grosvenor Resort in Orlando, Florida, at Walt Disney World. Room Rates : The Grosvenor Resort is offering symposium participants a very special room rate of $80.00 (single occupancy) or $100.00 (double occupancy) a night plus 11.5 percent tax (tax subject to change without notice). Please do not pay resort fee. It is not in our contarct with the hotel. Room rate includes the followings: - Two complimentary breakfast daily per room - Complimentary one hour networking-reception (drinks and cheese) daily - Complimentary shuttle (bus transportation) to Disney main theme parks, including Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and MGM Studios - Complimentary self parking at the hotel To Make Your Hotel Reservation: Individual reservations should be made by calling the Grosvenor Resort by telephone at 1-800-624-4109 in the US and Canada. Hotel Reservation by Fax : International hotel reservation requests can be faxed directly to 407-828-8192 (USA). Suggested date for arrival is June 19 or 20, and for departure is June 25, 2004. Should you decide to incorporate a family vacation into your trip, the group rate will be honored three days prior and three days following the Symposium, based on availability. A first night’s room deposit must be made with a credit card, within 7 days of placing your reservation. Credit cards will be charged a first night's room and tax deposit at that time. For any reservations that "no show" or, are canceled within 5 days of arrival, the deposit will not be refunded. Check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is prior to 11am. Should you arrive early or depart after these times, baggage storage areas are available for early arrivals and late departures.
